We aim for the tools to be usable by everyone, conforming to WCAG 2.1 level AA.
Key facts
- Everything works with a keyboard: Tab to the upload area and press Enter or Space.
- Status updates are announced to screen readers through live regions.
- Text and controls meet AA colour-contrast ratios in light and dark mode.
- Pages respect reduced-motion and dark-mode system settings and reflow to 320 px wide.
Known limitations
Image previews of converted PDF pages don't include the page text. Compressed PDFs keep the original's tagging, but flattened pages (used only as a last resort for exact sizes) are images and lose text accessibility — the tool warns you when this happens.
